    Teaching your horse good ground manners not only is beneficial to you as the owner, but to anyone else that handles the horse ie: vet, farrer, barn staff.

    Working with the horse from the ground lets you get the know the horse better.

    You don't have to have a halter horse to train them to stand square, trot forward quietly, halt, turn and rein back from the halt. A horse of any age can learn to do this.
